Zoica began ballet at age nine in the Cuban National Ballet School She received the silver medal in both the Brazilian Competition in 1996, and the Alicia Alonso Competition in 1997. In 1998, Zoica joined Orlando Ballet where she has danced both classic and contemporary roles as a principal, including Swanilda in Coppelia, Lise in La Fille Mal Gardee, Kitri in Don Quixote, Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Guinevere in Camelot and Odette and Odile in Swan Lake. Zoica is in her eleventh season with Orlando Ballet and dedicates this season to Tom Ferguson, her best ballet friend.
