Giovanna trained for eight years at National Ballet School Lara State before moving to Raleigh, NC. She danced for three years with Raleigh Dance Theatre and the corps of Carolina Ballet. She spent her senior year at North Carolina School of the Arts on a dance scholarship. In 2006-2007 apprenticed with Carolina Ballet and later joined Orlando Ballet II. She was chosen to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with Burklyn Youth Ballet and for the 2008 VARNA Competition. She has trained on Scholarship with Miami Ballet and the Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami. This is Giovanna’s first season as an apprentice.
