The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas

As an integral part of a multi-million dollar renovation, the Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas re-branded their three signature restaurants. MLB Creative was hired to design logos and signature collectable menus for each venue.

The fabulous view from the Great Bay Lounge arched windows provided inspiration for the period-style postcard and postage stamp treatment for logo and keepsake menu. As for all menus, the design featured menus that would be easily printed daily to promote seasonal appetizers and fruit drink specials.

With a type font reminiscent of a wave, the Bleuwater logo was paired with original illustrations by Ritz-Carlton St. Thomas artist-in-residence, Lucinda O’Connell to create a collectable set of four unique menu backs suitable for framing.

The casual waterfront restaurant, Sails, borrowed its name and illustration from the architectural detail of the structure. Lunch, breakfast, dessert and dinner menus featured distinct color variations as well as a set of O’Connell watercolor reproductions that combined to form a single frame-able image.
