2009 BPPR Ultimate Chef Challenge
The largest community event of the year, the Carnival Cultural Fair is a celebration of local foods, crafts and horticulture. As a sponsor of the event, Banco Popular wanted to maximize their visibility. The foodies at MLB Creative devised a cooking competition that would pit highly recognized professional chefs, young chefs, and restaurant owners against each other in the Ultimate Chef Challenge. Partnering with the Department of Agriculture, the secret ingredients were to be locally grown to promote “Virgin Fresh” products from local farmers. The event was a huge success judging by the capacity crowd and the registrations to receive the Ultimate Chef cookbook, keeping the event alive long after the grand prize was awarded.
